Board members

Poppy Patch is a non-profit child care center governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Typically, our board members consist of parents or Franchise Tax Board employees.

Board meetings

Our board of directors meet monthly and meetings normally last an hour. Board meetings are open to parents and staff. Agendas include discussion of policy, budget, teacher vacancy or issues, and any other items related to ensuring our centers are run seamlessly.

Visit our Calendar to see when our next board meeting is scheduled.

Join the board

We hold elections for board members once a year in June. Parents or Franchise Tax Board employees interested in joining the board must submit a signed candidate statement detailing why they are interested in serving on the Board of Directors. Each candidate’s name and statement will be provided to each family for a ballot and election. Board members are allowed to serve consecutive terms, but must be re-elected by parents.

COVID-19

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have extended the temporarily closure of all of our Poppy Patch centers. We will have a soft reopen on June 1, 2020. The health and well-being of our children and staff is our top priority. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you understand.
